Two colors are the same only if their hue, lightness, and saturation are all the same. Otherwise, one of the properties is different, and the two colors are not the same.

1. For example, red, yellow and blue can be mixed in a certain proportion to obtain different intermediate colors. Mixing intermediate colors with intermediate colors or mixing intermediate colors with one of red, yellow, and blue can get complex colors. These colors are obtained by changing the hue of the color (natural lightness and saturation change accordingly).

2. On the basis of color development, adding white to dilute the original color, you can get colors with different saturation (customarily called different shades).

3. Adding different amounts of black on the basis of color development, you can get various colors with different lightness. Add iron red and black to make purple-brown, white and black to make different grays, and yellow and black to make black-green.

Combining the above principles of color matching, that is, on the basis of a certain color, changing its hue, lightness and saturation at the same time, or changing the hue and saturation at the same time, can get thousands of different colors.
